Fred Williams, Cub Leader at 1st Conwy, has been presented with the Bar to the Award for Merit for outstanding service to Scouting by René Stevens as his last official duty as DLV of Conwy Scout District.

Fred Williams has been a dedicated Team Member at 1st Conwy for the past 25 years and an excellent role model and cub leader to hundreds of young people.

In his younger days, Fred became a Queen’s Scout and then Scout Leader at 1st Abergele, where he ran a very successful Troop.

After a house move, he moved to 1st Conwy, and most of you will have seen Fred helping at the District Sports and Orienteering events.
